President

Dr. Anil Aggarwal is the President of Ekta Shakti Foundation. Under his leadership, the Foundation has expanded its outreach across several states in India, impacting thousands of children and families through initiatives such as the Mid-Day Meal Programme, women’s empowerment projects, and inclusive education for children with special needs.

With a strong commitment to equity and sustainable change, Dr. Aggarwal has been instrumental in fostering partnerships with government bodies, corporates, and civil society organizations. His vision continues to guide Ekta Shakti Foundation in creating a more inclusive and empowered society. Under the vibrant governance of Dr. Anil Aggarwal currently, the organization has more than 1000 employees working in different projects and programs across India.

Arun Singh Panwar

Chief Executive Officer

A senior development sector professional with more than three decades of hands-on experience in strategic partnerships, fundraising, programme development, community development, program implementation, program management, government advocacy, liaison with strategic partners, operations management, monitoring and evaluation, media relations, donor management, grant management, stakeholder management, representation in conferences, exhibitions, talk shows etc.

During his career, he has served various national and international organisations like Godfrey Phillips India Ltd, Development Alternatives, HLL Lifecare Ltd, Project Concern International, Pathfinder International and Fiinovation.

Presently, Leading Ekta Shakti Foundation with a team of professionals with a vision to scale up the operations multi-folds while managing the implementation of current multi-sectoral, multi-state programs, benefiting directly around 1.2 million poor Children, Women and Youth of India.

Mr. Aggarwal has been an integral part of Ekta Shakti Foundation since its inception and the strongest pillar of growth through the last 15 years of ESF’s journey. His initiatives and deep concern for various social issues have been the crucial driving force behind the very formation and development of the Ekta Shakti Foundation.

Dr. S. K. Nanda, IAS (Retd.)

A retired IAS officer has joined our Board of Advisors this year. Dr. S. K. Nanda is currently the Adviser to National Disaster Management Authority, Govt. of India, the National Chief Commissioner to Hindustan Scouts and Guides, India, an Adviser and Independent Director to Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. Govt. of India.

In his professional career spanning four decades, he served in numerous positions with the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat like Addl. Chief Secretary of Government of Gujarat; Chairman and Managing Director of Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals; Chairman of GSFC University; Chairman of Mumbai Management and Research; Director of GSPC Gas Limited; Chairman of Gujarat AgroTech Ltd; Director of Bhavnagar Energy Company Limited; Director of Indian Potash Limited; Director of Tunisian Indian Fertilizers (TIFERET); Vice President of United Nations Global Compact Network, Western Region; Member of All India Management Council; Member of All India Management Association; Member of the Consultative Committee for Mid- term Appraisal at Planning Commission of Govt. of India.

He has received several awards such as Subhash Chandra Bose National Award, Mahadhan Award for Excellence in Crop Improvement and Productivity, Corporate Leadership Award for CSR, Environment Protection Award, the CEO Award 2015, National Golden Peacock Award, to name a few.

SHARIQ JAMAL

HEAD – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

A seasoned development professional with over 21 years of working experience across many cross-cutting thematic verticals in various capacities, is currently heading the Business Development vertical of Ekta Shakti Foundation and Brahmashakti Special School. 

An MBA in Rural Development from Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute, Allahabad, holds in-depth knowledge of Program Management, Partner Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Financial Management, Community Mobilization, Resource Mobilization, Capacity Building, Livelihoods and Micro Finance. During his career, he has worked with couple of National and International organisations in various capacities like Society for All Round Development, Volunteer Services Overseas (VSO, Kenya), Population Foundation of India and Fiinovation.

DEEPAK SHARMA

SENIOR MANAGER – ACCOUNTS AND OPERATIONS
One of the core team members from the very beginning of Ekta Shakti Foundation. He joined in the year 2004 and since then has been an integral part of the organisation. Presently the accounts and operations management are being successfully headed by Mr. Sharma.

MANISH KUMAR MITTAL

PROJECT DIRECTOR - Bihar

One of the establishing employees at Ekta Shakti Foundation. He joined as a Chief coordinator in 2007 and his journey has seen all the progress and growth in the organisation over the years. Mr. Mittal currently has made significant contributions as Project Director at Ekta Shakti Foundation. Acting as a trusted representative and liaison officer, he has facilitated meaningful engagement with various government departments, helping the Foundation garner critical support for its social initiatives. Mr. Mittal exemplifies the spirit of service in both industry and community development. Presently he directs the kitchen projects and finances in Bihar.

ANCHAL TYAGI

MANAGER - COMMUNICATIONS

Anchal Tyagi, an avid Creative Designing professional. She graduated with Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication which led to Design and Visualization. She has been working in the industry for the last 5 years with an exuberant knowledge of the creative world. She has explored the field from glittery corporate films and advertisements to subtle documentaries in news channels to a production house.

Presently, she works as a Manager-Communications where she handles the in-house multimedia projects such as creatives, films, documentaries all-in pre-production, production to post-production with communication, all across the board for various channels on both print and digital media.

Whether it’s films, direction, or creative graphic designing, the dynamic world of creativity never fails to amaze her.

EKTA AGGARWAL

DIRECTOR – HR & ADMINISTRATION

Being the youngest among the lot it requires a lot of passion and enthusiasm to run and head a department. With around 3 years of experience, having a fresh approach and young mindset, she manages in connecting to people and motivate them on personal and professional front since the beginning of her career.

DR. ASHRAF JAMAL

PROJECT DIRECTOR- Andhra Pradesh

Three decades of experience working to improve the lives of children and eradicate hunger. Experience in handling schools under a mission that ‘No child shall be deprived of Education, because of hunger’, through NGO SWERA. He has supplied quality MDM in various schools Delhi, UP and Bihar. Worked as Project Director in REWARDS a reputed non-Government Organization in Bihar to run and execute the MDM supplying project in Bihar for 8 years.

Presently working as Project Director at Ekta Shakti Foundation since 2019. During these years have completed his assignments in Assam and now dedicatedly trying to make the ongoing MDM supplying project in Andhra Pradesh a grand success.

VIKAS AGGARWAL

PROJECT DIRECTOR - Bihar

Vikas Aggarwal is a committed development leader serving as the Director for Bihar at Ekta Shakti Foundation. With a strong passion for social impact and inclusive growth, Vikas has been instrumental in strengthening the Foundation’s programs across the state, ensuring that vulnerable and underserved communities receive access to essential services in nutrition, education, health, and livelihood development.

One of the establishing employees at Ekta Shakti Foundation. He joined as a Chief coordinator in 2007 and his journey has seen all the progress and growth in the organisation over the years. Presently he looks after the purchase operations, government Liasoning and kitchen activities in Bihar.

Known for his exceptional administrative skills, team-building capabilities, and mission-driven mindset, Vikas leads with accountability and compassion. His dedication to empowering communities and creating equitable opportunities is reflected in the impactful programs and strengthened community engagement across the region.

Brij Bhushan

A seasoned Special Educator and Administrator with over 23 years of working experience.

Post Graduate Diploma in Special Needs, Teachers Training, and counselling from the London College of Teachers. He is a B. Ed. in Special Education (Mental retardation) from I.G.N.O.U., Bachelor of Arts from D.U. and he is also pursuing Master of Arts in Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from I.G.N.O.U. He has also participated in several national and international symposiums and workshops.

An outstanding track record in assuring student success. A remarkable experience maintains relations and coordinate with various organization.  Outstanding track record in assuring student success, seasoned in conceiving and building programs from the ground up through proven competencies in grant writing and administration, project and program management, and staff development.

Dr. Satish Chandra

Dr. Satish Chandra is currently on the Advisory Board of Ekta Shakti Foundation. Dr. Chandra was a former Indian Government Public Servant. He worked with UNDP -Afghanistan, USAID, and Multilateral Supported -Programs on governance, policy, budget, institutional development, audit, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E), treasury, and investment management functions in India, the USA, and Afghanistan.

He has more than 30 years of international development experience, mostly in Afghanistan, and has worked in a range of public service areas for different public, not-for-profit and corporate sectors and led a team of a company-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project for a US$50 billion organization. This included managing the restructuring of a business plan, oversight, and audit management for over 50 state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and there have been numerous high-level responsibilities that have honed his integrated public service competencies.
